Save Me From the Fires of 1000 Suns

Today.. a little ranting about Linkin Park. Recently they've released their new single, The Catalyst off their upcoming album A Thousand Suns. So the thing is, fans have mixed views about their new single, and how the album is gonna sound like. LP's transition from their Hybrid Theory era to Minutes to Midnight have been speculated by fans, and honestly most people hate it. They want the old LP back, with all their Hybrid glory, and make rebellious music like they used to. So whats my take on this, as a die hard Lp fan?

As I mentioned on my twitter page;
"Maybe its fangirlism talking, but I get pissed when ppl talk crap about the new LP songs. They just dont get what they're trying to do~ Its what artistes do, evolve. Whats wrong with trying and experimenting with something fresh and new? And how could you expect them to make music like Hybrid Theory? Yes, Hybrid was brilliant, but they gotta move on. Maybe the new album isnt gonna be as brilliant as Hyrbid, but that doesnt mean theres less passion. I guess thats what sets them apart from other bands~ Either you love them, or you could STFU."


See, LP is both artist and artiste. What I mean is that they aren't just performers, but they're also you could say, practitioners of art. If you're an artist you can understand the need to change the comfort zone you're in. You want to experience different things, to evolve. It doesn't matter if other people like it or not, because its indulgent. Either you have the openness to love it, or you hate it for your own reasons. The thing that matters is that YOU love it, because its yours and you told your story. If that story could reach out to people, make them feel, make them understand, then you have gold. To compare LP as a musical performer to someone else, maybe they come off short as creating something as widely accepted and celebrated as Hybrid Theory. Some people might think they've lost their touch, and cant recreate that epicness, unlike some other performers who dont fail to release an equally good album.

In my opinion I think they CAN reproduce Hybrid Theory, but they DONT want to. What for? They arent the same people they were back then. They cant be going on about how the hate the world, or how people hate them~ I think the lyrics that they write now, about the issues of this world, are excellent. It gives people hope. And thats saying a lot, cuz I hate this world. I despise it. Hearing the lyrics gives me something to look forward tomorrow. Who are you to condemn them of giving people that? Anyway, these are my opinions only. Yeah I love them, but I also respect other people's opinions too. Imma fangirl, but I refuse to be one of those stupid annoying whores that love Twilight and Bieber and cant understand anything other than those 2 things.

I'm not a music or an art expert, but I do love LP and been loving them since One Step Closer, and I understand and appreciate what they're trying to do. So that being said, I'll be looking forward to A Thousand Suns that's coming out September 14th. As sure as hell I'll be buying it and you know I'll be loving it. ;D

So yea, now for real updates.

First of all... SHOUJO MANGA BANZAI!! rofl, I'm so loving shoujo manga now... the comedy ones, mind you.. definitely NOT Vampire Knight and the like~

And you know why? Because of bishies. Yes, i like them more straight. LMAO!! Yaoi hinting is nice, but to have them wasted on fellow guys are just a waste~ T*T

Ok, honestly, I dont really read a lot of shoujo manga, and most of them are insanely intolerable, especially those where the characters have eyes as bigs as melons. But, there are a few that are really good~ Skip Beat, Kaicho wa Maid sama, High School Debut, one shots from Motomi Kyousuke, my fave shoujo mangaka and I recently started reading Oresama Teacher.. damn hawwwwwwt~ *nyappy~*

Switch girl is also good, cuz the heroine is just crack (pun not intended). Wallflower is good because of Nakahara Sunako, a girl I wish to be very much. But ultimately, Mogami Kyouko from Skip Beat has got to be the luckiest (well, after her bad luck streak la) girl ever. She has the most popular actor in Japan, 2 (scary and hawwt) vk rockers plus some other dudes trying to win her heart.. the best part is... SHE HAS NONE!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Ohh did I mention the actor dude is also scary? I think he's probably the most scariest in the manga, after Kyouko. I think I have a thing for scary guys like that. It makes me wonder if I'm really a masochist. Hmmm~~ lol random

I'm now into my 6th semester, so next semester which will start in June (I think) I'll be starting my friggin internship!! BWAAHHHH~!! I cant wait to get out of tht dumbass college. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~!!

So right now, I'm trying to hunt down my work so I can add them to my so empty portfolio. T*T

My mother wants me to balik kampung for my practical.... in other words, go back to Canada~ for like, 3 months.. until Raya. So if I do go there, I would be fasting there.... "orz you have to wake up at 4 dammit~

KAYKAY!! HIKARI!! ANEUE WILL MISS YOU DEARLY!! That is.. if I go... I dont wanna get my hopes up or anything, anything can happen you know... the thing is my mom is like, dead set on sending me away~ =w=

I just hope I can still be able to be a hikikomori if I go there~

Aside from going there, I'm interested going to Animasia or some publishing company that my friends are aiming for. It'd be cool if you get to do your practical with people you know.. it makes being anti social easier.. you dont need to socialize as much with people you never met before. Rofl.

Incomprehensible logic from hell, I know. XDD

Yesterday night me went beraya at Kay's house all the way in gombak... so freakin far, I am grateful that highways exists.. （´Д｀）

anyway, i was really hoping to taste kay's mama's chicken~ XDD demo demo.... i only got kuey teow~ ohh nevermind, sedap juge. hahahahahaha. me give kay kay duit raya also, so nice her aneue~ 8DD

well, the stupid part of all this is when i was at her house we didnt know what to do.. so being the hikikomori/otaku/computer addicts we are, we go online and watch gintama while spamming vivian and wen who were also online (wen was at vivi's house, hahaha like mama like son （´Д｀）) ... hahahahahhaa phail. Mamoru coincidentally was online too, so i made him come along to kay's house~ (me and kay never met him before, suddenly ask him to come over... 8D crazy kids)

and so we found our victim. >D

Very awkward at first.. then after breaking the ice by kutuk several fellow *ehem* spammers *ehm* we got along quite nicely. Luckily i brought over bungapi so we can play~~ yaaay~!! XDD
(not tht fun laa playing alone T^T)

I aksed kay if she had any candles... she brought out birthday candles...... XDDXDDDD
Then, i attempted to melt the wax from those birthday candles (eventhough i knew it wouldn't work) and suddenly ruru chyan came out... "Lilin cake mne nak cair.. *facepalm*" XDDD
So kay went to find one very small stub of a candle.. ok laa... can still be used~ （´Д｀）


and so Kay's house was like it was on fire.... XDD (i brought 1 whole box and some big ones, unfortunately no firecrackers. XDD)

We made lotsa idiotic patterns on the pavement and the cheap bungapi burned out too fast... dammit, but the funny thing was that sometimes it would ignite again and suddenly just take of randomly in the air like mercun go haywire~ XDD tht was fun, one almost kena me (scream like girl) then when kay was trying to ignite hers suddenly it flew of XDDD (ayt x ley blaa~)

the climax was when we gathered all the sisa2 of the bungapi and all the stick from the big ones and set them on fire (ruru was the who threw the match.. i somehow phail with matches （´Д｀）)
hence, beautiful flames and sparks came to life....

ok.. too much flames....

ok so then being good Samaritan, i wanted to help sweep the driveway and cleanup the freakin mess we made, so i asked for a broom.. kay gave me the very lembut type~ she said thts the only one she could find~ somewhere, sometime at this point ruru was inside and for some reason (i forgot) i stole his shoes and wanted to burn it. hahahahahahahaha

I'm so lazy to post.. my keyboard is fucking idiotic. Everytime I type in t an r follows, or y a u appears.. if i go caps lock then a w will get typed in as well.. so annoying. i wish i could get a new keyboard!!!!!!!!!

ok, so now we dive into miyuki's wonderful weekend adventure, saturday being a trip to GACC in Melaka and on sunday going to Tension Academy's so-called "gathering"~

I didnt sleep the whole night... why? Because of excitement you might say? Nooo... its because I was going with Sachi, her dad was going to drive us there. I asked CCkuk, former of TA if he'd like to tag along, as he was very emo on a Thursday and I'd thought it might cheered him up~

I dont know if it was a good or bad thing~ =__=;;

Anyway, so the trip and everything was fine.. when we reached MMU i seriously had to go to the toilet.. and the nearest toilet to the main entrance was CRAP! All of them were squating toilets and they couldnt even flush properly. Then the tap didnt have water! WTF!?! XD

*suddenly lazy to write*

Well, to shorten things, we went running around mmu, then sleep, then lepak~
Hiro joined us later after being sesat~ >D
Which made things much more fun~~
Cuz we got to bahan him and his beloved sayang~~~

Most of the time we (me and sachi) spent teasing CC being gay. First with his best friend Neuro, than with Hiro, then with everyone else. He just seemed.. very gheeyyyy~ And teasing him with 2 very straight ppl were very amusing. (Yes, i am mocking you pon chyan.)

Me also got to meet vivi chan~~ She's soo adorable! Nyaaaaaa~~ Me wanted to give her onee chan hug~ hahahahahaha.. but me gave her ichigo pokky instead XD

Etoo.. just to clear things, I DID NOT plan that little awkward meeting between hiro and vivi~ Seriously, I was planning something else, but OMG, that turned out a little too perfect~ I mean, honestly, I DID NOT SEE hiro behind or anywhere near me and vivi~ I was just bringing her randomly everywhere!!! I AM INNOCENT DAMMIT!!!!!!! I WAS PLANNING GROUP MEETING, GROUP DESU!!!!! ToT

My apologies to anyone who felt offended. (by that meaning Vivi chan, cuz she's so innocentandsuperkawaii i couldnt bare make tease her like that~ <--- onee chan mode XD)

So we went back at 7, and otw home we stopped by Ayer Keroh R&R, me bought those giant keropok thingies, sedaaaaap~~ 1 for me family, another for Neuro XDD (tetibe je... XP)

And with that, we ended our Saturday adventure, soon to be continued the next day for the TA gathering I didnt even know existed.

Neo, being the super complicated paranoid being he is, interprets this as Kyouko wanting to mentor him on ways to surpress his evil inside him and thus becoming the pure chosen one Morphius has been bitchin' everyone about. Neo takes Kyouko through backdoors and questioning "why must Kyouko become a hacker" and "Is Kyouko even real" and "Why am I listening to someone who isn't even real, but seems so real, but in fact is just a 2d being"?

bla, bla, bla.... yea, PHAIL.

WOW. Immpressive. Etoo... Raito kun will be tempting Kyouko with his Death Note, saying that she can easily get rid of Shou with the flick of her pen... And Kyouko will be goin' all Princess Underworld... liking the ideas of killing Shou in various ways and getting away with it. I see... Raito kun and Kyouko become a very nice match. WOOO! Cool fan-fiction weiyh! Oh yea.. and Harry will be just staring into space.. being quiet... and looking down at his meal..... thinking that using that Death note is a convinient way to kill Voldermort. :D

YAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaOoooooooOOOOOOOIiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIiiiiiiii Anyway, one day, Gintoki just gets back from his adventure.. he seperated from Shinpachi and Kagura and visited his favorite shop that sells the most delicious, splendid, beautiful, sweet, extravagant stawberry parfait in the whole universe. But unfortunately they just ran out of strawberries... dakara, no strawberry parfait for Gin chan. Sugar deprived, he asked the waitress who got the last strawberry parfait, and the waitress pointed at this guy... with black hair and white shirt, sitting in an abnormal manner (i suck at writing, so just deal with it. =.=) L noticed the puppy dog eyes of Gintoki and sat there, staring back athim silently. 10 mins pass and they still were staring at each other, until finally Gintoki broke the silence and said "if you share that lovely starwberry parfait with me, I shall lend you my JUMP... and give you half of my secret choco stash!!!" With nothing to lose, L said "OK" and the lovely couple shared the lucious strawberry parfait together. The end.

But Kyouko notices Dean and Gintoki both want it, so she reluctantly backs off.. meanwhile, both Dean and Gin are barking at each other while trying to get one another distracted by yelling random things. Finally Dean takes out his gun and Gin takes out his sword and decide to duel it out. Kyouko asks them nicely to keep it down and to share the last pancake but she gets rudely ignored. Dean starts shooting like hell as Gin manages to dodge the bullets, but accidently hits Kyouko. Being pissed off, Kyouko the turns EVILER-THAN-SADAKO-SAMA nad beats the crap out of both Dean and Gintoki, while taking the pancake and feeding it to her evil devil auras.

Day 1

Went with Yayoi Senpai.. as.. a lurker. Hahaha, yea.. I'm always lurking.. anyway got there around emm 11 a.m.. dropped by my old Japanese Class first, long time havent been there.. anyway we got there and went straight to the Convention Centre.. it was.. super cool >.

Another bad thing was I wasn't wearing my glasses, so I couldnt make out what was really happening... I suck. I FREAKIN SUCK!!!

I also noticed the lighting was bad.. but everyone noticed that as well... the place wasn't built in particular for photographs anyway.. (TT^TT)

Umm... yea.. I had lunch at Beard Papa's Creampuff~ <33>

Day 2

Yayoi Senpai was supposed to follow me, but she couldn't as her brother had to be sent to the hospital.. his finger broke. Anyway, my cousin Nao came with me this time. I reached Sunway Pyramid so I went loitering around with such an empty expression.. I seem to always do that.. walking around... OTZ

Well, she came at around 12.. so we went inside and I told her to just go look around the doujin booths as did so already the day before. I was tired of walking aimlessly so I sat and stared at the demo area... untill Nao came back. She wanted me to follow her.. arrghhh... too lazy to get up~ then some performances was going on the stage.. so I got an excuse to sit down for a bit more. Hahahahaha. 

So I went browsing the doujin booths some more.. and Nao got one cute Elizabeth plushie. Hahahahaa, if you've seen a very emotionless girl holding an Elizabeth plushie, that was ME. I kinda stole it for a while. :P

Lunch at McD~ oh yeah, by this time me college buddy Alya and her cousins came to join us. Her cousins are really into anime.. specifically Naruto. They went crazy stalking Sasuke. And Naruto. And Chouji. XD Well, good thing Alya came.. took some pics with her lovely DSLR~ (yes, I want one, I envy you, J-not) It was cool to see Alya at a cosplay event, because she's more into indie gigs.. one day.. I shall follow you to one of your gigs XDD But make it safe for an innocent girl like me, ne? :)

We spent the rest of our day just lepak-ing outside the hall..again. XD I told them I was doing this yesterday as well.. just sitting observing people.. and.. Nao said... I was.. weird. Alya and her cousins agreed. '''OTZ

Anyway, I also got to stalk some people for a short time... don't worry, stalked just a bit... 

The Gintama cosplayers, a Sephiroth ( I wanted to see if "it" was a guy or a girl.. sorry), a Sasuke and others... not too much information can be disclosed. Lol.

Well, I guess that is all I can remember.. hahaha XDD
